RPG Elements

I was listening to the Here Be Gamers podcast today, and i ran across Nathan's description on an "indie" game. It prompted me to try to make this a deviation from the norm. Thus I am currently working on integrating some RPG elements into the game. I don't really know how it will work, beyond the fact that you will have a commander sheet and it will have skills and bonuses for your armies and such; maybe even penalties for the other team(s). There will be various templates for it, such as Engineer, and Undead. That's all I really know for now, but suggestions would be great, and more thoughts will come soon.

Stats

I have posted the stat sheet (on the right) and will be working on the rules write up very soon. I'm on a trip right now so not much will be done for the next couple of days. I still need those playtesters, and a better name.

Introduction

This will be a development blog about a version of Risk that has very little to do with the game itself, seeing as it only uses the figurines. I have the rules but they are not written up yet, but they are coming soon, along with more information.

Basic Overview:
Each unit type has certain stats and special abilities. The goal is to protect your fort while trying to capture the other person's or people's fort(s). The units are Infantry, Cavalry, and Artillery.

Also, if anyone has ideas for a better name or just general suggestions, please comment.
